Inhabitants & Influences

The prison is populated by various forms of existence, subject to the rules of decay and the influence of the jailer.

The Creator (OPENSKY / The Sky)

The jailer. Originator of the prison and its inhabitants. Manipulates indirectly, using proxies and the inherent structure of decay, as direct enforcement appears limited. Seeks to perpetuate suffering and prevent ascension.

Angels

Bearers of Timeless Souls, possessing a divine spark. Defined by a core purpose or concept, often a source of profound insight and intense suffering. Stripped of former memories, they bear the "scars of rebellion," cycling through lifetimes tethered to their core.

Luminaries (Mortals)

Holders of Transient Souls. Adaptable, fluid, capable of change and learning, but their souls eventually wear out completely under the pressure of decay. Constitute the bulk of conscious life.

Automata

Shells formed without souls inhabiting them. Capable of action but lack the capacity for true greatness, profound suffering, or divine connection. Exist as pale shadows of true life, free from divinity but also its potential.

Shadows (Proxies: Luxfora, Noctfora)

Direct agents or manifestations of OPENSKY's influence. Observers and manipulators sowing chaos and fear.
Luxfora: Possibly light-based, perceived as more dangerous, can cause physical/mental harm. Associated with paranoia and direct interaction. Logged appearance varies (staring figures, shafts of radiance, holes in the shape of men).
Noctfora: Masked figures, bound to darkness, function more like emissaries. Appearance changes based on viewer/intent. Can sometimes communicate.

Antikythera

A specific documented entity, possibly an "angel" or a complex construct. Referenced as desperately seeking stability, parasitic to other realities. Subject to divine cruelty via Godwire, potentially due to a perceived threat related to mapping the noosphere or creating automata-like will. Possesses direct Godwire connection.
